The High Stakes Lounge

Named "The High Stakes Lounge," this Wattle Park project demonstrates how structural transformation and rapid deployment can merge to create an extraordinary entertainment space. Starting as a massive, raw open space beneath an existing elevated home, the client’s brief called for a striking, high-performance cinema room that doubled as an elite social space and high-end poker room.

Working in close collaboration with the client through every phase of the design stage to lock in the aesthetic direction before turning a single screw, our team delivered this complex build on time, under budget, and on schedule—all within an exceptionally compressed timeframe.

Under-Home Structural Conversion
Transforming an empty sub-floor void into a luxury entertainment destination required complete interior fit-out engineering. We executed full installations of plush commercial-grade carpet, bespoke heavy curtains, a custom drop-down structural ceiling, and a breathtaking 18m² starlight ceiling to set an atmospheric, high-roller mood.

Dual-Purpose Layout
Engineered from the ground up to effortlessly transition from a reference-grade immersive cinema to an atmospheric social lounge and poker venue without compromising acoustic integrity or sightlines.

Acoustic Architecture & Custom Fabrication

Infinite Baffle Front Stage
To maximize front-stage transparency and transient response, we engineered and installed custom acoustic treatment directly behind the screen along the front wall, establishing a high-performance infinite baffle layout.

Architectural Wall Treatments
The left wall features our signature on-wall acoustic panels with integrated linear LED accent lighting. To complement the poker and social aesthetic, we custom-designed and manufactured diamond-stitch style velour on-wall feature panels, applied across the entire back wall and framing the left and right flanks of the screen.

Audio-Visual & Power Engineering

Uncompromising Low-End Performance
To fill the large lower-level footprint with chest-pounding, authoritative bass response, the system is anchored by dual Ascendo 16-inch sealed subwoofers.

Processing & Amplification
The core audio is driven by the reference-grade Integra DRX 8.4 AVR, powering a pristine 9-channel Monitor Audio Atmos surround sound configuration.

Projection
Visuals are delivered by the high-output Epson LS12000 4K laser projector, ensuring razor-sharp clarity, vibrant contrast, and cinematic punch across the expansive screen.
